The Best Pizzas In South Yarra Vic 3141

I am crazy about pizzas! If that isn’t a good enough reason to put up a website called ‘Pizza South Yarra’, what is? I was lost the moment I sank my teeth into my first pizza and my love affair with pizzas carries on well into middle age!

 

Even though I have slowly changed my lifestyle to be more health conscious and to keep my weight in check, I just cannot resist pizzas; in any shape or size, any crust, thin or otherwise, any topping, any kind, from any part of the world! I have even started trying out some recipes at home using some good pizza dough and extra virgin olive oil but nothing can quite beat a professionally made pizza.

It was when I was savouring a new exotic pizza at my favourite pizza outlet that I thought a website exclusively about pizzas is what the world needed. So I set forth on a pizza discovery journey and was surprised at all the new stuff I found. And here I was thinking am a pizza veteran! I have travelled all over the world and tasted different pizzas – spicier, blander, meatier, veggier, you name it, I probably would have had it somewhere! I must have eaten more than two thousand pizzas!

It was in Delhi and Mumbai, India, that I discovered that a thin crust pizza can taste good even with a lot of spices. Out of all the outlets Smokin’ Joes was the best as they really piled on the toppings! I usually find myself ordering extra toppings wherever I go, but there was no place on top to add any more toppings! The crust was neither thin nor thick and mozzarella cheese & tomato sauce not too much and not too less. Their garlic bread was also something to die for!

Luckily for me, I have an iron clad stomach and can eat anything anywhere in the world. In fact, the first thing I do when I land in a new place is check out their pizza outlets. And, although I would find a Pizza Hut or a Dominos almost everywhere I went, I found that the pizzas tasted so different from back home and from other places.

My visit to Pakistan was interesting as I ended up at this humongous pizza restaurant which am told can seat up to five thousand people! It was a very different experience and again the pizzas there tasted so different. Back home, I enjoy a deep dish pizza with bacon & egg toppings, which I am yet to find anywhere else.
I found that I could compile a whole lot of stuff about pizzas considering I had travelled so much and have tasted a whole lot of different pizzas. In these pages, I hope to bring to you all my personal knowledge on the subject and much more that I have researched over the years.
